CLOSE TAB TO RETURN

This is a hands on for those that wish to understand how to see a picture.

You will probably have a DSLR, mirrorless, or high end bridge camera to gain fully from this half day course.

This is a great course for people who already have some knowledge of digital photography and know how to use their cameras in fully manual mode. The course explores what makes a great image and how to see the potential for capturing something special. Often students tell me they simply don't see anything worth photographing when out and about. On this group walk, which may be in the countryside, or in a city scape we work together to create, and discover the hidden gems you are missing.

You will learn:

  • How to see contrast and shape.
  • Discovering angles and textures.
  • Getting serious with aperture and shutter speed control.
  • Exposure compensation.
  • How to use the camera as an artistic tool.
  • Getting into manual exposure.
  • Understanding more deeply the crucial relationship between aperture, ISO, and shutter speed !
  • Low light shooting long exposures.

Maximum of 4 students.
